Fan runs on to the pitch to lamp Grealish. Pretty hard to stop but Birminghan could be in deep doo-doo for that.

Yeah, that was my thought. I mean how many stewards are you going to need to ensure that can't happen?!

If that fan gets jailed for smacking Grealish does it open a can of worms regarding players punching another player on the pitch?

Points deduction for Birmingham a possibility? A fine is obviously on the way. I expect trouble will follow the game too.

didnt Duncan Ferguson get a police charge and Cantona for that kick on the that awful fan?

i think player on player stuff overall tends to be tame and also not a random attack out of nowhere.

not sure it would be enough to go to prison (guess it will depend on previous) but it should see a criminal charge and a lifetime ban.

a points deduction would be silly though but it does point out the dangers and its lucky he didnt have a weapon.

Then he scores and jumps in to the crowd to celebrate. Yes it's his own fans but have a bit of common sense not to wind people up further.

Hopefully some jail time in store for the moron that attacked him. Apparently a steward was taken away by police too?

one of my least favourite narratives in sports, where the fans get to give it out and players just need to take it.

his joy at scoring in a game like that is pretty reasonable, you see players go into the crowd for lesser moments.

the discredit should be for not doing the Rooney KO celebration

Too many focus on hating the opposition over actually supporting their team. I've always found that very strange.

Then again an element of Birmingham fans are up there with Millwall & Leeds for imbecilic suppoprt
