Question Wembley bag contents

Hi, I have just bought tickets to see the 49ers vs Jaguars and I was wondering if you can take food and drink into the stadium, if so how ?

I could be clever and say "in your stomach".

I think you can't. There is ample for sale inside the stadium so they would rather you pay their prices than have you bring in your own.

My understanding is :-

FOOD - Yes, provided you can fit it inside your allowed clear bag ( http://www.nfluk.com/tickets-events/wembley-bag-policy ).

(I've taken sandwiches /chocolate etc. into Wembley for IS games before without problems (including a bag check).).

DRINK - No. (you can however take in an empty plastic bottle (no top) or other plastic cup container. All drinks must be purchased inside the stadium for supply in "approved" containers. (except water, which is free).

I've been to the last two NFL games at Wembley, and I've never had a problem with bringing my own food, and bringing my own drinks in, providing they are not cans or plastic bottles. Instead I buy the cartons which are fine. When I'm searched on entry all they seem keen to look for is plastic bottles to empty into their own supplied cups.

Is this changing this year? I've even been to the last two England friendlies at Wembley and the searching procedure was the same.

I'm really confused now. The sticky thread about Security published today at the top of the I.S. page has an attachment that says No Food and also No Containers. (Not to mention that clear bags are "recommended" (but apparently not "required"???)

I posted this photo of the "containers" that I always use at Steelers tailgates on that thread but I'd appreciate others here chiming in if they think they'll be allowed inside Wembley. The cups are plastic and the koozies are foam.
