Default ESPN film recommendation

Thanks to Netflix U.S I have just sat through,

Run Ricky run - Story of RB Ricky Williams, 10/10
&
The Marinovich Prjoect - Story of the Robo QB, 10/10

I would also recommend ESPN' film about Chris Herrin, the hugely talented basketball star who's career went west due to a drug addiction, entitled Unguarded - 10/10.

Just wanted to throw those out, in case they nearly passed you by as they did me.

A great episode of 30 for 30 was the one about the bloke with cancer who tried to run across Canada. Very uplifting.

I don't think it was officially one of the 30 for 30 but the Bartman/Bill Buckner one os still my favourite.

Watched the Bartman one last night for the first team after a friend recommended it and it was excellent. One of the best sports docs I've seen!

Guru of Go has to be my favourite. I wasn't born until July 1990 but I tear up everytime Bo Kimble, Derrick Gathers, Corey Gaines, Jeff Fryer, Tom Peabody, Paul Westhead, David Spencer, Chip Schaefer & Dave Hagan talk about Hank Gathers' death.

EDIT - added my own version as the official ESPN video doesn't go as far as the scenes in the full film with all they guys I mentioned speechless and holding off tears. Has to be the most gut wrenching emotional moment of any sports film.

'The Announcement' was fantastic. Magic Johnson's story.

Nearly every 30 for 30 is good, as are the ones that followed it. Magic's one and the likes if catching hell, The Marinovich project are also very good.

They are coing back in the autmn, with some titles already out. "9.79" on the 100m Olympic final in Seoul 88 should be very good.
