Default Chargers 2010 draft class

Drafted
Ryan Mathews RB Fresno State - Round 1 pick 12
Hard running every down RB, has good speed and balance.

Donald Butler ILB Washington - Round 3 pick 15
Strong athletic LB, will be on special teams this season and has a shot at blossoming into a starter

Darrell Stuckey SS Kansas - Round 4 pick 12
Can play both safety positions but is probably going to feature on special teams and possibly as a SS on some passing downs for us but he could well end up starting there, good athleticism and decent ball skills. Listed on NFL.com as potentially the best sleeper in the draft for what thats worth.

Cam Thomas DT North Carolina - Round 5 pick 15
Big strong NT prospect, has true starter potential as a 3-4 NT and that is rare and surprising to find in the 5th round. Needs to improve his technique off the snap and his conditioning but it's all coachable, also isn't raw like some recent defensive line acquisitions so he can contribute to the rotation right away.

Jonathan Crompton QB Tennessee - Round 5 pick 37
Our developmental QB, has all the physical abilities you could want in a starting QB but needs an awful lot of coaching as right now he is poor at reading a defense, makes poor decisions and doesn't have great accuracy. Evidently Norv gave this pick his seal of approval and feels Crompton is a QB he can teach, should be interesting to see how he turns out.

Dedrick Epps TE Miami - Round 7 pick 28
Versatile H-Back type TE, can do a bit of everything but lacks the size to be a force as blocker and while he can make tough catches he doesn't do so consistently.

Undrafted
Shawnbrey McNeal RB SMU
Small RB with good speed and agility, talented receiver and can return kicks, very much in the style of Darren Sproles and good enough to make the roster as a 3rd RB or at least the practice squad. Could well become our successor to Sproles, was worth drafting so getting him as a free agent is very nice.

Jordyn Jackson WR/RB Eastern Oregon
Small college slot receiver/RB, fairly tiny for an NFL RB but could contribute either in the slot or as a nimble RB in the Sproles mould however we are listing him as a WR which may mean we are looking at him purely as a slot receiver

Cory Jackson FB Maryland
Lead blocking fullback and special teams performer

Jeremy Williams WR Tulane
Polished slot receiver, lacks outstanding athleticism or explosiveness and instead gets by with good route runner and hands

Marcel Thompson WR Lindenwood
Tall fast receiver (6'3", 4.44 40 time) from a small school, will be raw but has the raw tools we like in our receivers

Seyi Ajirotutu WR Fresno State
Comes with the Marty Schottenheimer seal of approval who compared him favorably with Jackson and Floyd at the East-West Sshrine game. Tall with ok speed and good hands.

Ernest Smith WR Baylor
Another bigish WR prospect

Richard Goodman WR Florida State
Not one of the giant receivers we typically like

Bryan Walters WR/KR Cornell
Ivy League punt returner

Richie Brockel FB/TE Boise State
FB/TE who missed most of his senior season with injury but has some potential

Dajleon Farr TE Memphis
6'5" 250lbs TE.

Nic Richmond OT TCU
Giant OT (6'8") with real physical potential who has very little experience and as such is very raw, if he responds well to coaching should be a good signing

Justin Jeffries OT Kentucky
6'6" OT who is an aggressive run blocker but needs a lot of work in pass protection, maybe a G ultimately

Brady Bond OT Oklahoma State
6'6" OT

Ryan Otterson OT
Listed as 6'5" and only 275lbs on his profile, either we are looking at him as a blocking TE or that information is very old

Jeff Hanson C Montana State
Centre/Guard

Brandon Lang OLB Troy
Has good potential as a 3-4 rush linebacker, like most college DEs he has to work on other aspects of his game but he has natural pass rush talent.

Kion Wilson ILB USF
Tough, high effort type of linebacker who can contribute on special teams, lacks great athleticism

Boris Lee LB Troy

Mike Nixon LB Arizona State
Ex-baseball player

Traye Simmons CB Minnesota
Lacks ideal speed to play CB in the NFL

Cort Johnson P West Texas A&M
Punter to kick in training camp

I will try and keep this list accurate and will also try and find out more about them just so we know who we have signed this year.
If anyone sees updated information about who we have signed or knows any more about them then post it in this thread and I will update the opening post

Delighted with Brandon Lang, he really should have been drafted IMO. I'd like to see Danario Alexander added as he is another big fast WR but I'm not sure of the state of his health

EDIT:
According to Acee, signing Nic Richmond was a priority. He should have a chance to stick bearing in mind our depth at OT

It actually looks like a good haul of undrafted guys this year, Lang, Richmond, Jeremy Williams and Ajirotutu all have realistic shots of making it in the NFL. As is always the case with undrafted guys someone random could surprise you but to have 4 who stand out immediately is impressive.

There were sources for all of them but yes they will all be confirmed later today along with some others, someone posted that we had added QB Riley Skinner, and I have seen reports that we signed DE Jason Lamb. So far I have found nothing about the QB joining us though google searches for his name aren't recommended, as for Lamb there are reports of him signing for us and for the Jets so clearly some are wrong and I removed him from the list until we know the truth

Updated to include FB Cory Jackson, WR Richard Goodman and RB Shawnbrey McNeal (who has confirmed it on facebook), I am happy we picked up McNeal.
No official list yet so something could yet change but of those on the list only Bryan Walters seems dubious.

Shawnbrey McNeal highlights. Could be an interesting pickup.
