The Packers fans on the Thursday night thread calling Tauscher "That new guy", then when you tell them he is an 11 year Packers vet they say, "Well, yeah I knew that". Er, no you didn't. You had no clue who he was. If you are new and don't know something just admit it. You can support your team as a new fan and accept a little help. It doesn't diminish your support. For the same fans to then make statements about the next two games and get that wrong too and then still insist they knew what they were saying is just ridiculous. No harm in making a mistake.

(Note: Packers this time, no picking on anybody before anyone loses the plot)

What really grinds my gears

1) politics seeping into sports.. sport is sport
2) people who laugh at their own rubbish jokes
3) old people
4) old people who drive.
5) phony people
6) politicians
7) politicians who have got away with expense fraud.
8) people who say american football is played by wimps unlike rugby
9) people who walk soooooooo slow
10) people who talk in groups in the middle of a pathway
11) people who stand talking at the bottom of escalators

Go bucks

Great post I agree with you, I shuddered at the lack of knowledge, if i was a newbie and saw Tauscher was an ex Packer I would have been straight on the web to learn all about him

People who eat themselves to a disgusting size and expect the taxpayer to foot the bill for a gastric this that and the other because they can't put down the fork and go for a jog, then whinge about how they eat because they're unhappy and they're unhappy because they're so overweight. I'd rather pay for a smoker's lung transplant than some fatty to have a balloon put in their stomach. Nicoteine is physically addictive, choosing McD's over a salad isn't!

(and no, I don't smoke, I just hate smokers being made the healt boogeymen while lard buckets are given a free pass!)

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic here, obviously people need to eat!

I had a king sized pizza to myself watching the double-header on Sunday night, but I went jogging for an hour that morning, had a salad the next night and I walk more than 3 miles every weekday to balance stuff like that out. Then I read about people whose house has to be cut open and they have to be crane-lifted out because they eat kilos of chocolate and chips everyday. They've done it to themselves, why should the public pay to fix it?
