Been so wrapped up in the Lions-Steelers game, forgot there was a Grand Prix on. Sounds pretty similar to a few others this year mind. It may be boring, but no matter how good that Red Bull is, Seb has to be considered among the all time greats. What he has achieved is simply astonishing, driving near faultlessly race after race after race.

Some of the criticism of Button is a bit harsh. He may not be the fastest driver on the grid, but he's not too far off. He's a good driver who's coming towards the end of his career and made the most of the one season he had the best car on the grid. Another guy had the same car that year too remember.

Id argue the red bull was fastest all yr around.

Brawn was only the best car for the first 7 races, button looked nowhere near winning many races after, he just sat back with an admittedly huge lead

Indeed button had a 26 point lead on rubens and a 32 point lead on vettel who had engine problems.

Button also had a great year when he was runner up, was it 2004? He had a great year without winning a race

Button has just neve had that raw speed, he has a great racing brain and gets the most out of the car most of the time, but unlike an Alonso or Vettel or Hamilton he cannot get that extra 10% out of the drive.

He relies on his brain and consistency but lacks the raw pace. His world title came in a 1 v 1 battle with Rubens, not the greatest of achievements in what was in my view tied with this season in terms of lack of competitiveness.

Couldnt agree more, Button is 'famous' for his driving style being easy on the tyres etc, he has benefited in race situations on numerous occasions due to that rather than his pace.

These Stewards are having an absolute mare today, they have obviously never heard of the term common sense.

not to mention how annoying is vettel, gives up the lead at the start, i proudly proclaim that he actually not going to lead a lap, an dwhat does he do,? nick the lead back by 0.022 seconds.

god damnit, and now melbourne has a serious hook to it in march.

I really hope Paul Di Resta gets a seat for 2014. Not looking good but he is a good driver. Force India's season just went to pot when Pirelli went back to the 2012 tyre construction in the summer.

Second half of the 2013 season has been a real snooze fest. Here's hoping teams can close the gap on Red Bull next season but tbh I expect more Vettel domination in 2014
