I booked mine with rfu. Used them last year parked in the cardinal vaughn carpark which was right next to the tailgate entrance. No problems getting in or out. £30 per car is a little steep but that's just the nature of the beast and public transport would probably cost us more.

If you want to park safely use Just Park app. Essentially you will be parking on someones drive, probably a 10-15 minute walk and at a fraction of the price that you will be paying if you go via the official car parks near the ground. And easier to get away if you are parked slightly away from the stadium

Nelson School...... safe parking about 10 minute walk from stadium. Just make sure you leave 10 minutes early or you'll be waiting a long time to get out the car park.

Default Twickenham Parking Recommendation

We also parked at Nelson School car park last year which was recommended to us by a rugby fan. We booked online. Very easy and was just under a mile away. If you can get straight back to your car after the match you can avoid the traffic gridlock that lasts for a couple of hours.

I plan on driving up to one of the train stations on the same line as Twickenham and getting the train the last few stops easy to get away and cheap parking

When you say easy to get away...how long do you think you will be waiting at the train station to get back to the car?

Imho..youd be better to park 15 minutes walk away and leave 5 to 10 minutes before the end and beat the rush...as o think you'll be in a queue for an hour at the train station.

Does that tend to apply in both directions though, or just into London?
I'd expect it going into London, but genuinely don't know if it's as bad going the other direction.
