guessing Liverpool scoring early and getting to half-time with conceding seems to be the only real chance of an up-set tonight.

Liverpool can create chances but can Barca get chances on the break??

Liverpool weren’t scoring 3 goals and keeping a clean sheet with a full strength team, never mind without Salah and Firmino...

i seem to have nose for when something is going to go sour/very well depending on your perspective (City-QPR comes to mind too.)

the clues were there in the first game but Barca were all over the place tonight, were super sloppy and Klopp got his boys into gear from the start.

super smart play from TAA.

Nice bit of business/daylight robbery for Liverpool selling Coutinho, then using the money to buy VVD and Allison. Origi and Wijnaldum also cost a combined £35m.

Wijnaldum is one of the best midfielders in the PL. All that is missing in his game was goals. Until last night

Barcelona, a team full of internationals were once that first goal went in were a shambles. As individuals they were either, petrified, hid or froze, or in the case of Coutinho all three

All credit to Klopp. He is the best motivator in the game and backed his XI to win the game. No plans to contain Messi, just make 8 man wave after wave of attack and hope Matip, VVD & Allison can keep them out the other end

A complete lack of fight or character from Barca. They slept-walked their way to defeat. Whenever they conceded there was very little emotional response. 'Here we go again...' basically. Messi, head down just walked back to the half way line. Suarez with the odd arms out questioning of his team. Not a peep out of Rakitic. Busquets? Pique? Valverde was as bad from what I saw of him.

Anfield, on a European night, with the wind in Liverpool's sails is one of the most electric atmospheres around, and like Crash said Barca froze. Maybe free wheeling their way to the La Liga title hasn't helped, but it's hard not to attribute it to a certain mentality, one that lacks a bit of pride to fight when things aren't going their way.

Hats off to Liverpool though. VVD was obviously immense. Allison lived up to his price tag on the biggest night of their season so far too. Henderson and Fabinho deserve a ton of praise though. They covered some ground last night, positionally sound, battled through every challenge. If Barca had shown half the desire that those 2 showed they'd be in the CL final instead.

i think a lot of blame needs to go on Valverde and he needs to be sacked as this has happened in back to back years.

Messi is clearly carrying this side and some are comically trying to put blame on him, others missed key chances and he doesnt control the D.

the turnaround should of been shocking but a lesser side did it against them and Klopp knows how to get a team going.

Jordi Alba through, one on one with Alisson

First instinct? Look for & then pass to a marked Messi

That's Barcelona's primary problem right there
