It will be interesting to see if they give him money in January, or if they will just continue to sign 30 free agents and loan players

Expect him to require a lot of money, and I mean a lot. During his time at Villa, we were the 3rd highest spenders in the premier league and never made it past 6th. Don't expect miracles.

Expect miracles? ha I just want the top half and flirt with the chance of getting to me 1st european game.

We have got ? left over to give, with b??t / Henderson and Gyan money.

So pumped up! 1st bit of real major ambition shown from the club/ board since we built the new place.

O'Neill is probably the best option available for Sunderland at the moment. He should do well there but at Aston Villa had a tendency for overpaying for what amounted to squad players and letting Cahill go was a puzzlement.

In the Euros England will play Ukraine, France and Sweden (Again). A reasonable group that England should be able to progress from.

always wanted him as our manager at anfield. i haven't felt we'd win a title in over twenty years and while i supported benitez & hodgson and now support kenny; i have never felt they'd win us a premierhsip title. had we appointed o'neill six year ago, i feel we'd have one by now.

I carnt say i agree with that. O'Neill did well at Leicester City with the resources he had but i dont think hes done anything that great since then. Winning titles for Celtic isnt a big achievement given the competition there is up there and he failed at Villa while spending a fortune.

It just been confirmed that O'Neill has signed a 3 year deal to be Sunderlands manager and will be in the stands for the game against Wolves.
