this post could look pretty silly if Spurs pull off a shock and land the 1 trophy you dont have

So, Ruben Loftus-Cheek will miss the Europa League final after suffering an ankle injury during a match in the U.S. Why the heck couldn’t this game have been rescheduled for after the season???

teams can be beyond stupid.

how hard would it of been to put a clause in the contract in case they got to a final, if they had made the FA Cup final would they still of played it?

it doesn't even seem to be a game designed to push Chelsea's brand abroad instead a meaningless charity game which raised $4m but half of that came from Roman and Bob Kraft who each pledged $1m.surely they could have easily just given $2m each.....

with the gap between the end of the season and the finals~(EL/CL) all 4 teams will need to have a practice match so this wasn't too bad just unlucky to get a key injury.

Uefa really need to pick better venues, the location and size have been mentioned but they should also pick places where players can go without safety issues.

UEFA and member of there government have guaranteed his safety but he has chosen not to travel even though its not like he will be wandering around the streets of Baku, they will fly in for a few days maxs.

Its more travelling to and from the stadium for the game and training session he'd be at risk. Just takes a nutter with a 'cause' to go for the bus in the same way the Sri Lankan cricket team and Dortmund teams were targeted

He may have felt his being there would put his team mates at risk also

UEFA do seem to pick smaller member countries to host the Europa league final while the CL goes to bigger countries but if the finals where all in the West of Europe that would seem to be unfair.

pretty sure the Super cup and CL final are both in Turkey next season which will mean long journeys again for some fans.
