As a less important side issue, I wonder if the Chargers game will be played elsewhere on Sunday....

I see Qualcomm is now an evacuation center... I'm thinking it's getting more likely that the Chargers will be playing somewhere else on Sunday.

Thanks Vixbolts. I'm near downtown San Diego so I'm not really in danger and the worst thing that I have to deal with at the moment is the air quality. If things aren't cleared up by Sunday then the game will be played in Arizona but I think it'll be ok by then.

A lot of the players and their families live in the areas that are being evacuated. Apparently some have already had to leave their homes and more are expected to have to today. This is crap, we need some good old fashion rain.

It's going to be a difficult week for the team.

They need to know where they're going to be playing ASAP, so that they've got some of the uncertainty out of the way.... something solid to concentrate on....

I read that the Wild Animal Park is now being evacuated... how on earth do you evacuate somewhere like that?

I hate to think how bad these fires may get!

It doesn't sound like a good time in San Diego at all, rain would definitely be nice.

They're moving the animals to hospitals (for furry ones), with critically endangered getting priority. Damn sad what's going on, it's getting very bad with no signs of letting up at the moment. 1/4 million people evacuated already (including LT) and the winds are too strong to get aircraft into the sky to help fight the blazes. Ugh.
