Default International Football

Is there really no thread for International Football ? Or can I just not see it ?

Anyway, this can be the thread for WC Qualifiers and friendly's etc...

Good result for OWC last night, who would have thought with 2 games left Norn Iron would still be in with a great chance of qualifying ?

Thoughts on Scotland's performance ? England's friendly ?

Ireland were clueless against Cyprus, they nicked a win but they do not inspire confidence. Trapattoni has absolutely no ideas, other than just hoof it upfield. The players are too scared to run at defenders, and would rather shoot from 25 yards. The team might finish in second and make the play off for qualification, but it's the worst team in green for years.

Yeah it was a poor performance, but at this stage its all about winning. Regarding 'the worst team in green for years' have you forgot Staunton's reign?

Come on guys, this is no way the worst Irish side. We still have an outside chance of finishing top if Bulgaria draw or beat Italy midweek, we win our last two games we finish top. At least we still have a chance unlike 4 years ago. And you should never forget we are a small country and to think we are going to roll teams over is ridiculous. We are not Brazil.

Draw is our best bet. If bulgaria were to win theyd be a bit too close for comfort.

I don't expect them to roll over anybody, but they are totally devoid of ideas.
