The Browns currently have #1 and we are coasting in at #3 behind the 49'ers. But with 7 games left to play, the next teams up all have 3 wins. Winning 2 games more than any of these teams, with our remaining schedule, that already looks unlikely to me. |

We dont often get a a top draft pick, so lets get a franchise QB like Sam Darnold. If he can make the transition to the pros, he is there for the next 15 years. No matter whether you rate Eli or not, he is in his late 30s and we need a viable replacement within the next couple of years. Picking a franchise QB needs to be a major consideration in the near future. Today we have a top pick which may not hapen for a long time, so lets make the most of it. If we cant get Darnold as our 1st round, then trade down to plug the holes in the OL and LB positions. Maybe we can still get Baker Mayfield in a later draft round? I say this because Mayfield isnt the NFL prototypical QB due to his height, as well as his big mouth, so he may not get picked early in the draft. If not lets hope we trade down and get a future top draft pick next year because we will need a top QB pick for the 2019 draft season Last edited by lunarwolf; 19.11.2017 at 03:31 PM. |

if not you end as the Browns, taking Manziel and then wasting him by not using him the right way. |

So what do we make of our draft this year fellow G-men?
I'm pleased with nearly all of our picks - amazing what can be done with a competent GM! The only one I'm unsure of is picking up Lauletta at QB, especially if Davis Webb is to be the heir apparent. I get that it provides healthy competition but Tyrell Crosby would have been a better choice at RT. Overall though, can't complain too much. B+/A-. |

i will go B+ some nice picks overall, i would of done things different but Barkley is an excellent player. Hernandez is very good and getting Carter too. Lauletta was good value but we seemed to be in win now mode based on FA and the draft up until that point. the DL picks were good players but those are the ones where we could of gone a different way. if we had taken OL in the 5th Crosby or Jones, it would of been better as i feel given our issues they would of had a chance at winning a starting spot. |

Be around the B mark for me. I wouldn't have gone for Barkley myself, but I don't think anyone can deny he has the potential to a fantastic pick.
Absolutely love the Hernandez and Carter picks. The Lauletta pick is a an odd one for me, all of the moves we've made under Gettleman indicate win now. I'd have liked some more OL help or a corner with that pick. Don't know anything about McIntosh but again corner, receiver or OL would have been helpful there. |

Definitely agree with both of your opinions, especially on Carter. Think he'll be a steal, especially in Bettcher's D. Also interesting to see how Hill makes an impact.
One thing's for sure - I'm more excited by this upcoming season than last year's!! |
