Seems weird they wouldn't put it on BBC 2 or 3. BBC 2 night programming is usually just a simulcast of the BBC News channel and BBC 3 is full of shite.

Still, at least we get to see it! Didn't see that decision coming!

Isn’t channel 301 (on Freeview) also the Red Button stream?

If so, perhaps that can be recorded...

I, for one, won’t be happy if you cannot record MNF

Feel sorry for ESPN UK, what with them losing Premiership football to BT Vision recently as well

Can't record on the red button, and no HD...uh oh.

Desperately hoping they stick it on the BBC HD channel, or a dedicated HD red button channel like with the Olympics.

Wonder if they might put it on BBC HD which is currently showing nothing overnight?

Can't see ESPN sticking around for much longer, there's little point to it now as a viable channel that charges an additional fee.

Good to see the BBC commiting to showing football and it being free to air certainly makes it more accessible to more people. However it has to be well marketed or few people who are not aware of football will realise it's on the red button. On a different note not looking forward to staying up all night to watch with - as I'm aware - no option to record it...But MNF is on our screens, very good news!!!
