Heinz Muller the ex goalkeeper of Barnsley, yeah he actually a pretty highly rated goalkeeper over their, he definitely one of the reasons Mainz have been doing pretty well in the Bundesliga the last few seasons

AS Monaco, or, how not to pull off the Sugar Daddy takeover.

Due to tax reasons it seems the newly promoted Ligue 1 side may have to offload Falcao after just three months to balance the books. Oh dear.

It's not so much a bungled job by the owners, it's to do with taxes. Monaco has a vastly different tax system to France, which is why it's a haven for the rich. This allows a football club operating in Monaco an unfair advantage versus a club based in France - both in operating taxes but crucially in how much less it needs to pay players for them to get the same take-home pay as a player at a French club. Countries have different tax rates, fine, but the difference is that AS Monaco plays in the French league. French citizens are not allowed to becomes residents of Monaco (as it cheats the French revenue out of a lot of money) so why should a Monaco team be allowed into the French league if it doesn't have to operate under the same conditions as French clubs? It's a bit like if a Jersey club was in the Premier League. If AS Monaco are fined to try to make things more equal, suddenly they are a lot worse off than they budgeted for. I doubt Falcao will go, more likely there would be legal challenges.

Anzhi are having a clear out too, infact they bought Denisov last month only to resell him to Dinamo Moscow the past week, this is nothing to do with taxes, more likely to do with the owner is fed up with his play toy

Eto'o will go to the team who will show him the most money, the Chelsea rumor is basically a kick start to get teams to show interest

William will go to any team willing to pay £25 million + for him and offer close to £100,000 a week

Given the crazy sums spent, he's worth that kind of outlay.

this tax system has never been a problem before, its only now that monaco have a billionaire owner has it become a problem.

even when they made the champs league final was their tax system a problem of course not.
