Week 5 - @ Browns

The Good

BRADY!! On fire from the off. Pin point accurate and it seemed as though he had a stronger arm than we've seen in the last couple of season.

Was great to have Hogan stretching the field too! We've missed a deep threat for a while! Hopefully he stays healthy!

Bennett! Could him and Gronk be the best 2x TE we've seen since Gronk & Hernandez?

We did a good job stopping Crowell on the run too! Better than I thought we would so that was a positive!

The Bad

We didn't dominate as much as I had perhaps over expected haha

The browns are generally bad anyway but man their QB situation is dire!

Bennett taking some nasty falls again. Would be great if we could keep him healthy! Luckily nothing that slowed him down last night though!

The Goodell!

Cyrus Jones getting ejected!? We couldn't see what happened but can't have been great! I'm sure Belichick made him walk home or something as punishment.

I ran out of beet at the half time mark! Shops were shut! It wasn't a great second half after that!

the good

Brady - nuff said
2TE sets - almost impossible to cover both guys and just think we still have Lewis to return at some point.
Fleming - the back up back up RT.
Hogan - stretching the field and making the catch LaFell didn't make last year.
the run defence - held the Browns to under 30yds when they have been averaging over 150 or something

the Bad

only really the defence on the 2nd drive, sloppy penalty on Butler and some poor zone coverage.

the ugly

Hawkins of the browns going late and low at Jones's knee's that caused the re-action with the punch.surely the officials should have thrown a flag on the original cheap shot.

the browns line twice letting Hightower run free up the middle,2nd time his QB definetly felt the full force.

:
Hawkins about 60 yards away from the ball went really late and low at Jones's knee's which caused the ejection, dont see how the league can talk player safety then allow them kind of cheap shots and only punish the reaction.Wonder if Bill will actually see a player standing up for himself, the league will fine him but maybe no team punishment. The 3rd cornerback position is an issue and in 2 weeks against the steelers we will need that to be sorted.

week 6 - Bengals

the good

Gronk - who was battling the flu but was still a beast

Brady - excellent as usual but ended the game completing 22 of his last 24 throws

Hightower - made some great plays in the 2nd half to energize the defence

Elandon Roberts - played really well with Collins/Freeney out and his play on the goal line stand looks like we have a player for the future.

Eric Rowe - the pats switched the 2nd half nickle defence from having 3 safeties on the field and used Rowe who had some nice plays on slowing down AJ Green.

James White - making plays and hopefully wont totally dissappear when Lewis returns

the bad

the 1st half defensive scheme, the zone struggled but great 2nd half adjustments made the difference as usual

the ugly

the officials throwing two awful flags on Gronk/Blount for taunting/un-necessary roughness but missing the Burfict's cheap plays including "stamping" on Blount after his TD.

Steelers

The Good

Blount, White, Gronk, Brady Butler...well you could write quite a few names here and you wouldn't get much of an arguement.

The Bad

Ghost, it could be worrying that we may have a new kicker before the Colts!

The Goodel

Fumbles....that's just not in the playbook

the good

Blount - good to see the power game working when we force teams into nickle type coverages.just needs to be healthy come january

Gronk - just too good, unfair trying to watch teams figure out how to cover him

the front 7 - not a scheme where we blitzed a lot but when Bell got the ball on runs or check-downs it was thankfully not a repeat of the Bills game with missed tackles.

the bad

fumbles - against a full steeler team them turnovers could have costs us the game

kicking game - 2 touchbacks and the missed PAT.we have the players and coaches who can sort through these atleast.I know people a worried but think he just needs to get back to basics.Have faith

the ugly

the officials - seemed to call a load of offensive holding on both teams that killed alot of drives.2 good teams so why not let them play

steelers injury list - reminds us all how a january play-off run can be as much down to health as anything, last year it was pretty much an injury every game after the half way point.

Jordan Richards - the new Tavon Wilson, inactive yesterday and on the season has less defensive snaps(not special teams just defence) than Nate Ebner.
