Default Biggest Need

As a matter of interest,in this dry time leading to the draft, what do you feel is our biggest need.
One positional improvement which could make us a winning play-off team?

In terms of talent it's probably backer followed by safety, but in terms of production its a running back and I don't think it's that close.

It does depend on what happens to Michael Johnson as well, as defensive end could become a big need.

Yeah, RB appears a decent, deep draft class without there being an obvious standout 1st rounder. But,for me, if we get it right,it could change our offense and particularly help AD14.That being the case,I'd have no problem with us targetting a specific RB and going for him in the 1st-although we can 'probably' get a good one at 2a or 2b

As an outsider I would say RB.

Shame Anderson's called it a day... you can't beat his track record when it came to developing RB's.

If Smith goes and there is talent at that pick it will almost have to be RT on the first 3 picks. We don't have any other viable option on the roster.

They have to take at least 1 RB somewhere but it doesn't have to be a high pick, just a good one.

Safety and/or LB next, but not some development guys like previous years, I want guys who can play from Day 1.

Some combination of those should clear picks 1-4, then I'll happily take BPA, and probably another RB.

Perfect offseason would be a draft that picked up instant starters on defense, the running back you mention and then resigning Smith and Johnson.

You guys had a terrific draft last year, should be interesting to see where you go in the 1st round this year.

It's running-back. We need 2 really.

Linebacker gets stronger purely by way of the off-season. If Howard's back then people forget he was our best backer by FAR.

You can have Howard and Lamur at Will. Burfict at Mike (maybe re-sign Rey for depth). The you've got Maybin, Moch and probably another through the draft competing for SLB. SLB disappears on passing downs under Zimmer so it's not really a huge position for us.

A lot depends on re-signings. If MJ93 goes then we have a huge void at DE, if Andre goes then we have a massive need at RT that will need addressing in the first 3 rounds.
