Both excellent. but if you're in for the long haul (and like less swearing) Go West (Wing)

Both are amazing, I would go deadwood first there's only 36 so you'll probably fly through and be on west wing in no time.

Yeah I've been ploughing through West Wing, but although they're 40min episodes there's 22/23 per series. Currently I'm halfway through season 2.

The writing is white hot (expected, given Sorkin), but i never expected to laugh so much at something that isn't a comedy. Great tv...

Been watching Lilyhammer on Netflix.

I think it is actually Norweigen produced, however stars Steven Van Zandt, best known in acting for his role in The Sopranos

Van Zandt plays Frankie "the fixer", a New York gangster who testifies against a mob boss and is forced to go into to witness protection. He chooses to go to Lilyhammer in Norway and the series follows his exploits adapting to life in his new home.

Fantastic show so far, would give it a solid 8/10

Thought the Shield was a brilliant series that didn't seem to get much coverage over here at the time it was on.

Currently labouring on with Falling Skies like many others. It's got pretty poor but i have to finish these things when i'm invested this far!

Looking forward to the final season of Boardwalk Empire this month although disappointed it is going to be finishing. Just started watching House of Cards too, so far so good.

I agree that Boardwalk Empire will be missed, but I'd rather they went out with bang than a whimper. In reality they ran out of original source material ages ago and as they use quite a lot of real-life characters it makes it hard to stray too far from fact. First 3 series were great. The last one not so much. Hoping for a return to top form.
