After returning from a holiday in Bulgaria... English tourists.

The kind that moan on the coach transfer home that there was nowhere to get a decent cup of English tea, those that expect a FOREIGN holiday to be EXACTLY like the UK but with sun.

Worst example was a couple that grouchily moaned to an entertainment hotel worker in the evening about there not being enough hotdogs at lunchtime. This at an all-inclusive buffet where the choice was plentiful of both English, German, Italian and Bulgarian food.

The wife made a good point that he should have tried eating the adult food, rather than the hotdogs which were actually in the childrens section.

Agree with all of the above. There is a programme on TV called "The millionaire's holiday club". Apparently one of the guests at an exclusive resort in the Seychelles (might have been the Maldives, but you get the idea) complained to staff that their were "too many fish in the sea". Tell that to a Grimsby trawlerman!

It does make you wonder what he thought they could do about it.

Yeah, a pet peeve of mine. The Brit abroad is often an embarrassing sight.

Well I'm certainly not going to speak for Cindy and Dave (in his Union Jack shorts) on holiday in Marbella, who eat fish n chips every day (except for their Sunday roast), watch sky sports and eastenders and drink in The Red Lion. They love the Sun (newspaper) and worship the sun (the centre of their solar system). Spain is perfect for them, except for perhaps the Spanish. Their idea of speaking for themselves in Spain is shouting at the barman 'PEDRO? ANOTHER BEER, PER FAVOR?'

The resorts aren't blameless.

They create the home from home, Red Lion pubs, Full English breakfasts, Roasts, Sky Sports shown here live....all created to entice these types in.

If you want people to enjoy a different culture, don't do away with it.

Always fun to order the local cuisine (the stuff hidden away at the back or bottom of the menus), you do get some funny looks from the wait staff
