pick made and pm sent.

some character concerns but he might be able to do a job covering TEs while developing as a FS, where will have a need going forwards.

happy with my haul overall, it didnt go quite to plan but i feel i got the right mix of value while hitting the key needs.

i could of played it safer at 6 with Oliver/Williams but hopefully Sweat proves me right and DKs medicals arent too bad plus the team that gets him knows how to use him.

6. Montez Sweat, DE/OLB, Mississippi State
17. DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss
27. Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
95. Dawson Knox, TE, Ole Miss
108. David Edwards, OT, Wisconsin
115. Sean Bunting, CB, Central Michigan
142. Jahlani Tavai, LB, Hawaii
180. Jordan Brown, CB, South Dakota State
232. Evan Worthington, S, Colorado

San Francisco 49ers draft:

2 Nick Bosa, Edge
36 Taylor Rapp S
55 Riley Ridley WR
195 Iman Marshall CB
212 Alexander Mattison RB

Very happy with the 5 picks. 2 starters in Bosa & Rapp imo. The other 3 will be part of the special teams unit no doubt and would only be in certain packages on offense or defense.

Lions draft completed then, below is my thinking behind why I did what I di

R1 P8: DE Rashan Gary - This pick was a vote, but in all honesty I would have probably taken him 90% of the time myself, only other guy I would have considered was Brian Burns

R2 P43: CB DeAndre Baker - Was targeting TE here but think Irv Smith Jr went a few picks beforehand, then torn between Baker or a WR and felt Baker was excellent value here in the 2nd

R3 P88: TE Caleb Wilson - Was hoping to get Sternberger here however he went beforehand, so decided to grab the TE here

R4 P111: G Nate Davis - Debated a RB but then the Lions announced the signing of CJ Anderson so meant the need at RB wasn’t as big, was torn on DE LG Collier or Davis but felt the talent was deeepr at DE than G

R5 P146: TE Dax Raymond - Doubled up on TE here, not a huge fan of Wilson so thought it was worth grabbing another TE

R6 P184: DE Shareef Miller - Was over the moon this kid was available in the 6th, as a Penn State fan aware os his talent and think he can be a steal here

R6 P204: WR Alex Wesley - Was out at the time, this was a bit of a blind pick

R7 P224: WR Preston Williams - Could have grabbed this one as a possible UDFA but didn’t know who else to get here so thought take him now

R7 P229: RB Benny Snell - Surprised he was still available in all honesty, think he could be a little gem if fits the right team, one of the names discussed as “this years Philip Lindsay”

a brilliant pickup at this point IMO, I had him all lined up as my steal for Broncos as I waited through the last 2 rounds! Almost made it...
I really think he will go much higher in the real thing, but even if he doesn't I still think a great pickup

Yeah, pace seems to have dropped off significantly in the last couple of days. On the plus side, Miami have two picks in a row and you and Washington have about half the remaining picks after that.

I’ve got the Oakland pick, provided he’s not one of the players Miami take...
