I'm speculating at a 2nd and 4th or something in that ballpark. Winslow burnt his bridges with the whole staph infection thing and I'm not really surprised he has been allowed to move on. Mangini is a character first guy.

Can't beleive the Browns have let Winslow go he is a fab player.
Why do the teams like the Browns and lions make daft moves in the offf season either in the draft or free agency.
Tampa fans must be laughing their heads off! (i know i am!)

Unless it's himself you're talking about

If he doesn't fit in with what the new HC (Mangini) wants, then what's the point in keeping him?

I agree, i was surprised when i first read the news but often when a new player comes in they get rid of a few of the old coaches players as it doesnt fit their system.

People were laughing when Jimmy Johnson traded Herschel Walker werent they ?

I agree one of the best recieving tight ends in the entire NFL and the Browns let him walk out the door for complaining about something he had every right to. Winslow should make a good addition to Tampa's offense.

nearly every player in the NFL can be replaced. They will have their reasons.

K2 would have been a free agent at end of this season coming up, meaning we would have either lost him for nothing or had to tag him. Couple this with the fact that he would have demanded big money, as well as Edwards would be coming up to contract negotiations etc around same time it makes sense, especailly given that K2 spent more time playing doctors @ Nurses with all of his injuries than he did playing on the field.

This is also a clear indication for me that Mangini may well go with more of a running game this season. I can see us going with more of a 1-2 running game with Lewis and either a FA or a draft prospect. K2 was never a good blocker and we use to bring Heiden in for run plays so I assume Heiden will now compete with a young prospect who drafted last year in Rucker. When we drafted this kid there was lots of talk about him being better than K2, I thought it was just hype but maybe their is a real belief in the kid.

All the talk amongst various Brownie chat rooms is that we have got a 2nd round pick this year with a 5th round next year. If my gut instinct is right and we have got a second round this year then I can see mangini going with a couple of LB/DE and maybe a RB if we dont pick someone up in FA
