I'm not a massive fan, but Michaels and Madden is a legendary pairing.

Very sad, but not surprised, John needs to relax now and enjoy the rest of his life. All that travelling coast to coast in a bus, the constant research must be draining. Madden has retired at the top of his game and I for one will sorely miss him.

That's a shame, he was still my favourite broadcaster, even if his analysis was more passionate than technical.

Who's Michaels going to team up with now?
