Calm down, it's only a discussion there is no need for name calling.

Do you guys advocate the status quo then? Or do you genuinely believe we should live in a true socialist state?

Wow, defend one of the founding principles of the welfare state - and suddenly you are Leon Trotsky.

If you want to focus on abuses of tax payers money - take a luck at the Royal Family;Billionaires in their own right and we, the dumb masses give them money from our wages. Oh no! Now I'm Joseph Stalin. eh Vince?

Lol, read back at some of lees posts where he suggests we all work (or not) for exactly the same money.

Don't get me started on the royal family, they have no place in our society IMO but thats a different story.

Seriously, what do you think about the state of the jobless? Do you not think that any reform is needed at all?

The only reform needed is to change which benefits give access to community care grants, free prescriptiions, free eye tests etc. Those forced out of work due to illness/disability, currently can't access these - those that have never worked, can. This needs to flipped the other way too.

Yet again we are seeing an attack on the 'universal principle of welfare'. This has nothing to do with a deficit, or recession - this is ideological. People should remember that our Fathers, Grandfathers etc - right through the last 3 centuries at least, fought & died, striked, marched & starved to win this for us all.

Business, and their puppets (the Tories more than any other) have fought our forefathers every step of the way. Are we now, the 'ordinary people' (ie those that do not own land and factories etc) going to let them just destroy it without a wimper, or worse; argue on forums and in pubs - it's the right thing to do?

That's what I really think.

The money saved by these sanctions wont do a single percent of damage on the amount of money owed and you know it as well as i do

I am sorry. . I thought i had answered your question, you tell me the answer you would like me to give and I will fall into line for you

You seem to have ALL the answers as usual Lee so why not just force feed them all here and have done with it.

I want you to answer WHY IF these people are not prepared to contribute to society for their 'free handouts' why I should feel guilty if THEY are willing to allow their family to starve for their own laziness. . or am I taking some 'moral' highground??

and the only one spitting bile is you with your starred out language and ranting. .I can just imagine you looking very angry and getting quite aggressive over this. . just glad im this side of the keyboard as you seem like you quite quite easily punch someone such is your tone!!

The simple fact is your are generalising and taking out your dislike for them as you cant possbily judge that many people
This is insane. And to deny these people exist is insane.

You're generalising that all these people deserve benefits.

I dont read the Daily Mail, I hate the Daily Mail. I read The Guardian.

Again, generalising.

Why are people painting me and Vincent as being facists?

I vote Labour, I can't speak for Vince but I know he's not a tory and so surely us saying we agree with this idea means even more because we can see the merit.

We took off our red glasses to look at it objectively, try doing the same rather than being so emotionally biased with anti-conservative propoganda.

Who has called you a fascist and for what? for wanting those than can work but are not for doing some community work to earn benefits?

I whole heartidly agree with the idea myself, gives you pride in the area you live, someting lacking these days, keeps you motivated and in the 'work ethic' after all it is very easy for 1 month on the dole to become 1 year and sleeping in till noon and bed at 3am and then getting back to work is a shock!!

I dont see why Lee has issue with those that can work should work for benefits.. does it impact him directly . whats his pay off for opposing it?

Lee???
