I've been a follower of the NFL since i was a 9-10. First experience of it was playing Joe Montana on my Sega Mega Drive. But i cant say that i understood what i was trying to do.

I've always loved the idea of it, but when i moved to New Zealand for a year back in 2006, was when i started to take more of an interest. I house shared with 3 Yank Green Bay fan's. We watched the games on ESPN, and played NFL on the PS2.

It wasn't until then that the rules suddenly clicked.

I choose the 49ers, because of the history with Montana and Rice, and because i like the kit!

Though i have a soft spot for the Giants, Raiders and the Colts.

I've probably asked you this before Willy, but where are you from in San Francisco again? And the age old SF question: What school did you go to?

I'm from the Ingleside and went to Riordan.

Well, got into NFL about 3-4 years ago, didn't really have a team to support, just followed L.T. because I thought he was an awesome player. Then Patrick Willis was on the scene and he was my new number one player.

Still didn't have a team, just followed a couple. But then I went to California for a school trip and I met Patrick Willis, in L.A (quite an interesting story how but bit too long for this post) and he was with Ian *******s who is part of the Madden team, he was an idiot but P-willy was really nice and let me have a photo with him, so that was probably one of the best moments of my life!!

Coming back to England I had fallen in love with California, amazing country, but hands down San Francisco was the part I liked the most. So this had decided it for me. Months later and San Francisco was picked for Wembley so it's perfect. And that is why I support them.

I started watching Blitz in the late eighties with my brother who choose the 9ers so i joined him. First game i remember tho is the Superbowl in 1988. Watched until about 1992 then drifted away from the sport until about 2000 and have watched ever since.

Managed to fulfill a lifetime ambition last season and see the 9ers play at the Stick (Titans and Bears games). Was an unbelieveable experience and i will definatley go again! Also going to Wembley too!

Hey. I am a 'Bandwaggoner' too. All from the early days of C4 coverage. Niners were usually always on. They just stuck. I have a good feeling for the new season. Play offs at least & then who knows. How good would it be to win Superbowl 45 in Texas?
