Talking 49ers sign Westbrook

the 49ers have signed Brian Westbrook on a 1 year contract.
Our running game is going to be one to watch with Westbrook and Gore as our 1-2 punch

I wouldn't write him off just yet, a very credible threat who still possess's a lot of power and a potent Reciever too.

Good move by the '9ers

Needed someone after Coffee retired, Westbrook seems like a decent option, if only as a 3DRB.

There's clearly some serious question marks over his health when a guy with Westbrook's pedigree remains unsigned all the way until the middle of August. I guess it's a win-win situation with the relatively small deal he's getting but I don't really see him making much impact, in the run game anyway, what with the injuries/concussions. Will probably get a fair amount of receptions though.

There were serious question marks over Correll Buckhalter's health when he signed for the Broncos last year and he stayed fit all season and was far and away the best back for the Broncos.

On that note, from an Eagles point of view, it's going to be interesting to see Buckhalter v Westbrook at Wembley!
