It's by far his best season and if he had played like the previous years i can't imagine us getting as far as we did/

Still everyone to their own
It was such a team effort that it's not really fair to single players out. I went for Gore because he was the cornerstone of the offense. If I had 6 votes then Alex would probably have got one.

And we all know about Willis. He doesn't need any more recognition

I am too, especially as you have spent the last few weeks slating him over and over??! More inane backtracking.

Anyway my top 3

1) Alex Smith
2) Andy Lee
3) Aldon Smith

1. Smith.
2. Smith.
3. Smith.

You lot work out which Smith should be in which order on the list, I can't,..

Being serious, I have actually been thinking about this and finding it immensely difficult to pick just 3 players out of the season we've just had.

Hmm, tough one. Not much love for Willis, guess that's what he gets for having his usual solid spectacular year eh?

For me:

1. Justin Smith - just a monster. Absolute monster.
2. Andy Lee - is there a better punter in the league?
3. Joe Staley - after a couple of injury plagued years he had a phenomenal year whilst remaining healthy. That block in the Saints game wins him this for me, althoguh Iupati has been superb too and will be an all-pro.

As others have said this really is a toss up though, I could think of 9 other players I could put in place of those.

Justin Smith
Frank Gore
Dashon Goldson

But in reality there were 12-15 truly outstanding players for us this season.

Exactly,.... Off the top of my head I think we have 8 going to the pro bowl. It was always going to be nigh on impossible picking just 3.

Justin Smith
Andy Lee
NaVorro Bowman

Although as many have said, there's been so many outstanding players in all 3 sides of the game it's difficult to pick.
