I'd watch 'Undefeated' as well for a sobering look at high school American Football in small town America.

Cheers for the feedback guys, particularly about FNL - it is a film I have had my eye on for a while.

I have seen some that I liked like The Longest yard and Gridiron Gang but on the flip side I did catch the godawful Varsity Blues (on an unsuccessful blind date too) and it was the biggest shower of s***e I've ever seen - I'd rather see Twilight and that's saying something.

My advice unless you are Irish don't go with the Irish! They get a vast amount of money and this year is the first time they have been competitive. Wisconsin is a really great program for a college team.

They get a vast amount of money ? That a strange statement and reason for not supporting an NCAA team. Can you explain ?

Also, the first time they have been competitive ?

That would sort of be like picking Brazil's National Team and their WC in soccer as your team...and then picking to follow an EPL team with the greatest history and largest fanbase...as your second team.

Put this way, if you followed baseball and this were a logic puzzle...what would follow after Packers, Notre Dame...would be the NY Yankees.

That's what you've done...

Packers
Notre Dame
Yankees
Man U
LA Lakers
Montreal Canadians

That's your team for every sport.

You might want to try something less glory hunting.

Glory Hunting???????? a quarter century of pain!!!!!!! which will be unleashed on USC tonight.

Then, any of the thick, cheating SEC teams will do me in the NC game.

GO IRISH!!!

Watching Notre Dame in Dublin this year was magical. I have many family in the states who follow them and a few who studied there. Meeting fans in Dublin, both Irish and Navy was immense. I still keep in touch with them.

College football, for many different reasons is far superior to the NFL.
