£6.50, what pint is this for?

If it's that rats p*** Carlsberg, I'll be as equally furious.

I'm not surprised by the price increases, they are scandalous at events. It's pure and utter profiteering as there is no other justification for it.

Rightly or wrongly You expect to be ripped off for food and drink at big events. I've been to so many over the years that I never even flinched at £6.50 for a rubbish pint of beer...it is what it is.

I've seen $10 cans of beer in the US.

The Falcons and a few other teams have taken a different approach - lower beer ($5 for 12oz/340ml) and hot dog ($2) prices. It's a way to tempt fans back to the stadium in a market that hasn't traditionally had strong attendances. The Falcons are realising they need to do something. The TV product is getting better and better and at home on your sofa you can have cheap food and drink, avoid horrible bathroom queues, don't get stuck in the parking lot for hours. Plus NFL tickets are expensive. Not charging $10 for a beer is the least they can do.

You can see what each team charges for a beer in the US here: https://blog.cheapism.com/nfl-beer-price-17508/

Nice to see the Texans leading by example.

When I was at NRG, they were selling cans of bud light at $2 each (the smaller ones) outside the stadium and you are allowed to bring in 2 per person I believe which I thought was a great idea.
