I'm hoping our defense can keep Drew Brees quiet, but I don't trust our offense to put up the numbers required to beat the Saints. I'll be surprised if we're still within a score going into the final 15.

I've got a slither, and I mean a slither, of faith that the Cowboys can come close to winning this one, but lets face it the Saints would be favourites against anyone in the league at this moment in time.

The Cowboys are going to have get some pressure up the middle on Brees somehow, some way. Whether that's twists and stunts with the DL or LB blitzes (mainly with Jaylon Smith). Oh, and along the way hope those tricks and blitzes pick up the run too. If they cant get some 3 & outs against the Saints the D will tire and pay for it later on. We've seen before that this D can get worn down if it has to face too many plays (I worry about LVE in that regard).

The Saints DL is starting to look good too. We know how good Cam Jordan is, but Sheldon Rankins has started to make plays and Marcus Davenport, albeit a rookie, is seemingly healthy again. Running on that front is the key on offence, but it wont be easy. Marshon Lattimore matches up pretty well to Amari Cooper, so i'd expect him to have less of an impact this week (50 yards or so). Hopefully Gallop or Hurns can make some plays, or even Beasley from the slot.

We will probably have to score 35+ to win this game but I just cant see that happening. The Saints have put up numbers against a better defense than the Cowboys and will do so again. If we can keep it relatively close, say 14 pts, I think we will have done a good job.

I'm off work tomorrow and might stay up and watch this.

This could be decent and leveled a little by Cowboys being the home team on a Thursday. I'm still expecting Saints to win but it will be closer than some of the resident Cowboys fans seem to think it will.

27-24 Saints is my guess.

I think the pessimism of Cowboys fans is down to the fact that the Cowboys always seem to make life hard for themselves. On certain plays throughout the game they make poor/dumb decisions. Against average teams they can be overcome. Against poor teams they are the difference between winning by 7 points or 17.

Against good/great teams?

We will have to play our best and hope the Saints have a bad day I am afraid.!!

Think the Cowboys will keep this closer than some expect, but the Saints should still win it by a couple of scores.
