Default ESPN to air Wildcard Matches

http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-re...-playoff-game/

What does this mean for us? Eurosport or will Sky keep it and broadcast the ESPN feed?

The pro bowl is also going back to ESPN.

Both the playoff game and the pro bowl will be on Sky over here next season as they hold those rights (regardless of who shows them in the States). The UK rights are up again in summer 2015.

When Sky showed the NBA they just used the ESPN feed and cut away to the studio during some of the breaks like they do with the NFL.

Presumably this is at the expense of NBC?

Seriously, what has Mike Mayock done to annoy the NFL? He's right up there after Collinsworth in the colour commentator stakes - looks like he will lose his Thursday slot and his playoff game next season. Still, lots more Phil Simms...

Yeah, NBC loses a wild card game but gains a divisional round game. Will miss Nessler & Mayock on TNF

This could be an indication that they are expecting there to be 2 extra wildcard games this year.............

I would say 1 or 1a I like the NBC guys but the worst news is CBS getting some of the Thursday games which means more Nantz and Simms.

Nantz & Simms are doing all the TNF games as far as I know, even the ones just on NFL Network
