I'm going to go with Russell Wilson. He takes way too many sacks, but he's hardly got 'The Great Wall' in front of him. He might not have the physical tools that Mahomes possesses but he's got more of a proven track record (at this stage). Mahomes had a season for the ages last year, now do it again.

I believe Barkley is a generational talent.

Pretty straight forward at WR/TE, especially as OBjr has had his injury worries. Kittle like Mahomes, go do it again. Kelce already has.

O line, again straight forward. I like Lewan, but Bakhtiari just seems a little more consistent. Tough to split Schwartz and Johnson, but Schwartz has never tested positive for PED's as far as I know. A couple of Notre Dame guards, can't go wrong there. Always like Mack since his Browns days.

On Defence it's tough to leave out Chris Jones as he's certainly an ascending talent, but it's another case of 'go do it again'. Snacks is a better fit at NT. Watt's ceiling has been proven to be ridiculous.

LB's. Can't see it any other way.

CB's. Speaking out of both sides of my mouth regarding PED's (Lane Johnson/Patrick Peterson) but I couldn't leave Peterson off. Gilmore seems to be the default 'best corner in the league' these days.

Harrison Smith has been a lock since the beginning. Adams is so solid too. That's what you want in a pair of safeties, consistency.

BB. Obvious.
As iconic as the horned helmets are, as a uniform the Chargers Blue maybe shades it.
I love cold weather games, out in the elements, but when it's all said and done 'indoor' games have an appeal too.

I'm going with Patrick Mahomes as my Quarterback, I've seen enough of him in one season to know he's an exceptional talent with all of the tools a Quarterback needs, decision would have been harder if it was against Aaron Rodgers.

I rate at least 4 NFC running backs ahead of Melvin Gordon, so Saquon Barkley easily becomes the Running Back.

I don't trust Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham Jr. enough to make this team, I went with the most consistent Wide Receivers. Travis Kelce was an easy lock at Tight End from the beginning.

The Offensive Line wasn't too difficult to pick, I probably would have included Smith at Left Tackle if available, but I like Bakhtiari a lot so it doesn't matter.

I could have gone with either Jones or Harrison at Nose Tackle, it was a case of experience vs. higher potential, I went with Jones to just add some more youth. Felt wrong to not include Calais Campbell, but J.J. Watt and Aaron Donald are elite players.

The four linebackers were obvious picks.

Gilmore and Ramsey are the two best Cornerbacks in the league, so that was easy. I could have gone with either safety, however.

Unfortunately, Bill gets the Head Coach job. The Chargers (powder blue) uniform is one of my favourites and I love the Cowboys stadium.

Wilson over Mahomes based on track record, I did pick two first year starters so maybe that's unfair but I thought they were more clearly ahead of others at their position and QB performance tends to be more variable I think.

Thomas over Brown to have a specialist slot receiver and because his catch rate is utterly ridiculous.

Schwartz over Lane Johnson as I think the former is a bit more consistent.

For the defence a 3-4 seemed most sensible with both the best pass rushers in the league being OLB's. Unfortunately that meant picking JJ Watt over Fletcher Cox given the latter has shown better in a 4-3 and the former might be the best specialist 3-4 DE ever, or at least this century. Having chosen a 3-4 it also made sense to have a proper nose tackle in Harrison rather than a better pass rusher out of position - you need an NT to play it properly and Harrison is clearly the best run stuffer in the league.

Peterson over Ramsey as the latter sometimes gets carried away and makes mistakes as a result.

James and Smith are the two most versatile safeties.
