Reading down your list I thought you'd forgotten to include him for a second, but lo and behold, there he is

I can only add my support to the Go Compare adverts

People who begin a sentence with "yeah - no" makes no sense to me.

People (nearly always women) who suddenly stop in front of me because they
have to do that annoying finger scrolling thing on their smart phones.

Smart phones - I'm too old and stupid to understand them. My mobile is actually
my 83 year old fathers phone which he didn't need anymore as his provider
upgraded his handset. I'm on PAYG and this weekend will put on 10 pounds
of credit for the 1st time since february.

*My father is 83-not his phone although my mocking children would disagree!

Text Language is everyday life: If you are laughing at something then you do not need to say "LOL" afterward. In fact saying "LOL" is terrible in itself.

TV Shows like The Only Way is Essex: Just awful; cannot understand how this type of show is so popular.

People telling me I need to claim about PPI: Stop calling me about it, please....

I agree on most of those already mentioned but my biggest bug bare is text speak, especially when it is not used in texts, but in spoken communication OMG, WTF..LOL it highlights the laziness of some people. It is run a close second by lack of pronunciation pronouncing th as "ff" of "v" not pronouncing t's...it really grates on me...although i know i am guilty of it at times i hate to hear it!

Oh and Ricky Gervais, is an excellent call

People that just assume American football is "just rugby for pussies", simply because the ball is a similar shape!

in response to Phisch I too hate mis pronounciation IE: free instead of THree, dare in place of THere and it does tend to be the youngsters more so, lazy generation leading to another lazy generation to follow it . . should we even last that long.

I'm not alone in my pedantry then

One that grates me the most is hearing/reading "could of" instead of "could've". Jibberish.
