Should Bailey's new nickname be Mr Semi-Automatic...

Xmas comes well right on Xmas

the Cowboys losing and not making the playoffs is nice but Bailey missing 2 key FGs

Mr Autotragic.

on a side note it will be interesting to see if the league do anything about that coach taking a shot at Wilson.

Bailey also hit 2 50+ field goals, which would have been punts with most kickers. He cant be blamed for this.

Fact is, our offense has been poor this season and needs a fair bit of work this offseason. I felt this game would be the one that we slipped up on, and we were largely awful.

one of which was very lucky

in the other thread you were literally saying how important it was to have him for key kicks in these big games.

the 34 yarder was a gimme and would of given you a real chance of winning the game.

your lack of finishing drives was costly but Bailey was a key factor in the loss too.

theres not just point being able to hit the 50+ FG, if you miss a short one at a crucial moment.

At 21-12 down, its not crucial. The offense did nothing, thats to blame, not Bailey. Field goals can be vital in the Playoffs, but its unlikely to win you games all by themselves, especially with our defense. You need touchdowns to go with them.

the 34 yarder was key, it would of made it a 1 score game and you then did get the stop (after that miss,) so would of had time for a possible TD drive.

the second one was not as key as it was setting up an onside kick but if you are saying he is the second most important player on your team then he needs to be nailed both of those.

i think Smiths injury was key.

This team, and offence just isn't as good as we thought. Looking back over the season, if you take the 4 wins over the Giants and Redskins out of the equation they've beat a Garoppolo-less 49ers, pipped the Raiders, beat the now 7-8 Cardinals, and the Chiefs. Plus they got mauled by the Broncos.

Cole Beasley has fallen off the radar completely. Witten has become a check down option, often short of the sticks, and Dez has struggled. Terrance Williams pops up with the odd reception, but then disappears. The passing game has failed, some of that is on the coaches, but some of it is on Dak, the O Line, and the receivers too. Considering the Seahawks were short handed, and played man to man coverage, the Cowboys failed to win enough of those one on one match ups.

so the Seahawks where the first team since 1966 to win a game with more penalty yardage(142) then total offence(136).

not sure the Seahawks can win in January unless Wilson stops taking big losses on plays when he should just throw the ball away.

atleast moving forward into 2018 the Cowboys wont have the Zeke distraction.

while in an ideal world those plays dont happen.
Wilson is the least of there issues and like with Eli and his risky throws, if Wilson stopped trying those sort of things overall it would have a negative impact, he makes things happen by extending plays.
