Smile Player of the Season Voting

Rather than making a poll, I thought (since there were so many contenders) that people could vote in the following way:

1st: Player Name gets 3 points
2nd Player Name gets 2 points
3rd Player Name gets 1 points.

I will update the 'current standings' section as people reply to the thread.

My vote is:

1st: NaVorro Bowman
2nd: Justin Smith
3rd: Aldon Smith

Current Standings:

1st Justin Smith - 21 points
2nd NaVorro Bowman - 13 points
=3rd Alex Smith - 9 points
=3rd Frank Gore - 9 points
5th Aldon Smith - 7 points
6th Andy Lee - 5 points
=7th Carlos Rogers - 4 points
=7th David Akers - 4 points
9th Vernon Davis - 3 points
=10th Joe Staley - 1 point
=10th Dashon Goldson - 1 point

updated after mikeys post (didnt include yours mikey - couldn't give everyone points!)

1. Justin Smith
2. Frank Gore
3. David Akers

I could have picked about 12 others, so I went for the biggest contributors (IMO) on D, O and ST.

added those to the list! keep them coming guys!

I wanted to give Smith, Rogers, and Akers, not to mention Andy Lee and Gore the points but I felt Aldon, NaVorro and Justin contributed more as individuals.

Crazy that nobody has mentioned Willis yet (perhaps because of his injury), shows what a season we've had.

Justin Smith
Vernon Davis
Carlos Rogers

Davis mainly for two outstanding performances in the playoffs after a year that was at times frustrating for him. Justin Smith is one of the best players in any position in the league IMO. After that I like Staley, Gore and Akers for the O. Smith was good but he need to improve on some throws where he has receivers open and generally in the Redzone. His ball security is outstanding. On the D Dashon Goldson and Whitner really stood out apart from the occasional massive missed tackles in pass coverage. Also the entire front 7. Brown was money in the playoffs, and even Culliver stepped in and proved he wasn't a reach like many thought. If Aldon Smith steps and becomes an every down player and perhaps bulks up slightly this group could be ridiculously good. Even the best offenses are reduced to having to pass 50/60 times to get an average score.

The team has played so well this season it really is hard to pick 3. All the names mentioned are all in and around the three tops. ....Very difficult as there can be so many

As others have said very hard to pick out individuals this year as it has been a real team performance this season. That said have gone for following:

1st:Aldon Smith
2nd: David Akers
3rd:Frank Gore

I am surprised i am the only one to put our QB in their top3?
It's by far his best season and if he had played like the previous years i can't imagine us getting as far as we did/

Still everyone to their own
