Its a shame that people dont get shown the true face of America when they are met with hostility which seems acceptable to those in charge.

Very funny man. But she won't be able to bring her handbag or perse so you'll end up paying for everything and carrying too.

I went to the Super Bowl with my son in New Orleans in February to cheer on my 49ers. Having been to many sporting events in the past including cricket games, NFL games at Wembley, soccer games etc I took my rucksack with me mainly to carry sweaters and to hold any merchandise we were going to buy.

The marshals directed us to an outbuilding along with thousands of other fans. At no point during this process we were told anything about oversized bags being prohibited. 20 minutes later as we approached the security scanner gates marshals were yelling out to us and others that our bags were too big and that we would have to turn around and walk back out of the outbuilding to dispose of any bags before re-entering.

Obviously this was impractical for us to do, 20,000 fans all squashed up and heading in the same direction it was impossible to walk back against the crowd flow to try and exit the facility and dispose of our rucksack.

Great I thought, have travelled all this way from London to then be denied entry. So I just emptied my rucksack, fortunately I had a smaller carrier bag which I put all contents into, then just a few yards before the gates I ditched the rucksack behind a potted plant with no-one seemingly noticing.

My bad perhaps for not reading terms and conditions of the ticket but I wish they could have told people as they were entering the massive queue to get in the buildings. Lost an expensive rucksack and probably lucky to have even gotten into the stadium as had an official spotted me ditching the rucksack I would have been kicked out.

On my next visit to an NFL game am definatley turning up empty handed!

So it has been said that these rules WILL apply to Wembley?
I can't see how on earth it would work here really.

This sounds insane. One bag only? And it has to be transparent?

Are we allowed pockets? How long before we all have to wear transparent clothes too?

The Americans live in a constant state of paranoia.

Its the same when you fly out of a US Airport, it wont be long until you have to fully strip off to prove your not a threat.

If they didnt wont to destroy the world and push their views onto the rest of the living population then maybe less people would want to terrorise them.

Well I found a clear PVC backpack off eBayuk it cost me nearly £30. This £30 has had to come out of my merchandise budget for both weekends. I could of spent this £30 on a new hat or new tee shirt or scarf and game day program and thus put my hard earnt pennies in the NFL coughers. But No! If every women and some of the male fans end up doing this the NFL will up losing a noteable sum of ca$h. But worst of all I'm gonna end up looking like a flipping tourist in London and get a sweaty back (that's not sexy) and to top it all off I will have my privacy invaded and my personal affect on display for all to see.
