Default How long until the turf starts cutting up?!

Given previous years the surface has been 'not that good'

How long do you think before it starts to cut up?

I reckon by the end of the 1st qtr.

Apart from the first game, it's actually been "not that bad".

Not long as we Brits cannot do anything right can we!!! after all the Olympics was a wash out and Wimbledon is always badly organised.

Wembley is first and foremost a SOCCER pitch- with grass that was designed for that purpose. Anyone who has seen grass at an NFL stadium can see that it is different !

We got what we got- or would anyone like to give up the games ?

I understand that the pitch is a very complicated mix of grass and artificial additives and apart from the first two has held up very well, the only problem being the length and type of grass. Try comparing rugby fields to soccer pictures and you will see what I mean

As people have said, it was only the early days of the IS that the pitch struggled.

This wasn't exclusive to NFL, the pitch was shocking for all sports, including football, when Wembley first opened and it was relayed multiple times. Fortunately they seem to have got the issue sorted.

Watched the Challenge Cup final yesterday and the pitch wasn't looking too great. Rugby often gets blamed for bad pitches but it was like that before game started.

There's not much on between now and then - one England game, one kids thing and one concert - so hopefully it can recover

Perfect example of how the press has influenced someones opinion.

Since the pitch was replaced after the first year with partial astroturf there has been NO problem with the turf cutting up. I speak with authority as I was pitchside at the 9ers Broncos game and walked on the pitch after the game.
