Turned out to be a bit of a false dawn although Russell being out injured for a while didn’t help. Luke will turn it around in time.

Bigger stumbling block has been the front office but steps being made in the right direction with the president, Jeanie Buss, bringing in Magic Johnson as an adviser. Think it signals the end of her brother, Jim Buss, being involved in basketball operations which will be a good thing. If he goes, then the Lakers can truly get back on the road to being relevant and somewhere a top free agent would want to play again.

What a mess for the Knicks, you can't treat the great Charles Oakley like that. Phil Jackson needs to step down as well.
