**** off, how many championship banners hang in your gym?

As much as I hate to get into stupid discussions that involve the past, I'll just say that I don't tend to live in the past.

Been in the league since 1994, Celtics have been in the league since what, 1946?

You guys haven't won a championship since 85.

And finally, I'd say the Raptors are much more equipped for the future than the Celtics, and let's talk about present day events, we're topping the division while you guys are lagging back in last place.
how about this for history 'with the first pick of the 2006 NBA Draft the toronto rapters select...1 half decent season and you're taking brave pills, as for the future I like bosh as a player but I'm not sure he's evolving into a truly dominant player, if you compare him to say dwight howard a player of similar age, howard is streaks ahead, I am not entirely convinced tj ford is back to the player he was at texas, they have a nice young nucleus but I don't see them winning a playoff series this year, and breaking the duck, oh well time will tell.

as for our future it looks like we picked a decent year to be poor with oden and durant looking like studs, and we'd hope to get one of them...we have a very young roseter also with some nice pieces in green and AJ, west and ronda, but we have something toronto doesnt an alpha dog in paul pierce and that is important...I'm actually quit bullish about the future as ong as we ditch rivers and get a real coach as he is terrible, add one of the aforementioned stud players in the draft and a fully fit pierce and suddenly normal service is resumed we look down on the raptors...

So tell me which would you rather draft in your lottery pick Greg oden or Kevin Durrant assuming of course both declare for the Draft
Oden is a no brainer IMO, he's a freak, kid in a man's body really.
Wouldn't neccesarily think it's a no brainer Durant is averaging 25 and 11 points a game for the Longhorns while Greg Oden is averaging 19 points so it does make it a little more harder to choose from these two

Umm, maybe you're biased against anything good about the Raptors, but to say Howard is streaks ahead of Bosh is just stupid.

Bosh - 23.4 PPG, 10.7 RPG, 2.3 APG, 1.2 BPG

Howard - 17.4 PPG, 11.8 RPG, 1.7 APG, 1.8 BPG

Wow, absolutely streaks between them. Bosh is better than Howard, simply put.

And Ford, well he's averaging 7.7 assists per game, and if you'd actually watched a few games this season you'd know that he has been playing well considering he had an injury that nearly ruined his career.

Oh, and we've got our "alpha dog", his name is Chris Bosh, and he's leading us to a winning record while Pierce is spending most of his time on the bench, injured.

Well, I guess it depends what the team's needs are, but I think Oden has more potential.

Well Monta Ellis has come up big for us again. We beat the bulls for the 8th straight time at home. Jackson and Harrington have settled realy quickly.
Ellis is gonna be great in the future, he has so much potential, and his team-mates have been saying how he'll be one of the best in the league in a few years time.
Yea he has really come good for us while Jason Richardson was out. I want to find somewhere to whatch the rookie challenge just to see ellis and head play.

I also like the way that Jackson and Harrington have just slotted right in with out any problems.

After the longest road trip for 19 years for the Lakers we go 3-5 with a 99 l 91 loss to Cleveland meaning 30-22 is our record. think from a fans point of view best to forget about it. Surprised no one here has mentioned Dallas 41-9 easily best record in the League. Once again because of Nowitzki and Jason Terry they will be be a huge force in the playoffs

The Lakers got too tired last night against the Cavs, and it showed with Lebron's last field goal. The road trip really took a lot out of them.
