If he isn't Whiz's 'guy' then he should be cut as he will never start for us if not this year while Skelton and Hall may develop into the next Brady/Warner/Romo.

I personally hope he isn't cut and starts, but in Whiz we trust.

It would be ridiculous if he were to be cut now. I really cant see what has changed from 5 months ago. His preseason has been steady, nothing special, nothing flashy, but nothing to suggest he should be cut, or even to have the starter job taken away from him. If Anderson had been playing superb, then maybe, but as far as I am concerned, he has been worse.

Why cut him less than 2 weeks before the season opener, when all along it has been made clear he is the starter and his job to lose.

I hope he is not cut, I hope he starts week 1, he deserved the chance before preseason, and as we finish preseason that has not changed in my eyes.

It seems ridiculous, but it's not beyond possibility. There won't be much trade interest as for whatever reason he is imaged as a Jamarcus Russell bust, when the reality is he has been playing under Kurt Warner who had an incredible renaissance in his later years........for the second time.

Would also agree that I think Anderson has been 2nd to Matty in pre season performances

Pretty sure Matt is out either cut or trade now (to Seattle?). His attidude is as if he deserves the shot and he has been more in camp and preseason. Also, Whiz has said it would be "dicey" if the Cards had a rookie backup, but he is more comfortable about it than before camp.

If I had to put a £ on the outcome

I'd still back Leinart to start.
If anyone is cut, I think it would be DA, but then only if coach is confident in Skelton, and or Hall.

Offtopic, but isnt it great that this years rookies seem to have guys pressing to play right now. In Whiz's previous years he has been reluctant to use rooks too soon.
I wouldnt be surprised to see Stephen Williams, Washington and Dan Williams all used in Game 1.
Stephen Williams and Washington could even start, depending on injuries.

dont see DA being released no way no how.

I can see ML starting and DA backing him up. but if DA starts I don't think they keep ML

DA starts Thursday...which is naff as has already been pointed out elsewhere Shanahan wont play his starters in the last game so DA will look great against 2nd and 3rd teamers.

its also suspected DA starts against St. Louis

oh well time to get behind the new QB
