Default Black Monday - You're Fired.

Rex has reportedly already cleaned out his office.

Rex needs to go somewhere with a clear franchise QB in place, he can make a good D with average pieces. Atlanta would be perfect for him, and vice versa. The ownership seems to dislike the lack of toughness in the franchise and Rex could fix that.

Rex will be unemployed for a year and then get a job as a DC

There is no way Rex is sitting it out for a year if there are DC vacancies - he is one of the best there is and has proven it. He may sit out a year if he wants a HC job (though I think there's a chance Atlanta hires him) but if it's for DC someone will offer him a job pretty fast.

I don't think he'll drop back and become a DC. I think he'll take a HC job, and I agree Atlanta is a good fit. Or he'll be offered a lot of money to move into a TV pundit job

It's official.

The 49ers and Harbaugh have mutually agreed to part ways.

Agree that Rex won't be too keen on an immediate return to DC duties.

I think he'd be a good fit for the Raiders. They've tried on several occasions to replicate the success Gruden brought by bringing in a young Coaching mind - experiments that failed miserably

Rex would tap into the Raiders ethos - hopefully make them into what previously made the Raiders - swagger, attitude and toughness. But there's an awful lot in the air with the Franchise, it's key positions and its long term location.

Atlanta as said would be a nice spot to land. Washington the opposite.
