Obviously I'm thankful for the ring that they helped us achieve (despite the heartache of the oh so nearly 2nd), but it was time to go for the pair of them, that offense has been in a rapid decline over the last 3 years.

They have used countless high round draft picks, acquired big trades on that line and they still are incapable of blocking and when your QB is your top rusher then you have a problem. I know they are not fully to blame as the players are the ones on the field, but something needed to give as there were no signs of improvement. When you try to turn basketball players into linemen and become one of the most penalised offenses in the league over the past 2 years, the time had come.

As for Kris Richard, I would like to see him stay, the one shining light despite the decline this season (caused by injuries) was the defence.

think anyone who has watched the Seahawks over the last 2 seasons have seen the issues on the o-line but can you blame Bevell and Cable when surely its the front office that traded Unger lost Okung then tried to replace them with as cheap as possible draft picks/free agents.

the Seahawks need to find an OC that can get Wilson to run a pro style offence again as watching him lately he just seem to be playing back yard football which maybe comes from him running for his life but also to much ad-libbing.

looks like Brian Schottenheimer is the lastest name linked to the OC job,Atlanta have said there is zero chance they let Steve Sarkisian leave.

It's not happening, but more likely than BB coming in I would think.
Saban showed in Miami he can't man - manage Pro's like he can at College & no way he will abandon the Empire he has built up in Alabama.

That is such a bad fit. Turner's offenses are all about pocket passing and accuracy & timing, aspects that Newton isn't blessed with

Rick Dennison has gone as OC in Buffalo. Hardly a surprise. He was great at the start of games on scripted plays but was horrific at in game adjustments. He was a gentleman and was undoubtedly a good influence in terms of personality but didn't perform.

Rob Chudzinski and Mike McCoy are reportedly the favourites for the Bills OC job. The former has worked with McDermott, and both were very complimentary of each other in interviews a few weeks ago, the latter was apparently option number 1 last off season until he took the Broncos job. Happy with either

Pat Shurmur seems to be the favoured candidate in Arizona. Maybe takes a Vikings QB with him?

Have to agree with BuffaloG's earlier post - the Coaching tree looks a tad bare this year.

No College candidates either - I'm not an expert on the College game. Is that because there isn't a Coach there primed for a job in the Pro's, the top Coaches happy with their lot in their current posts or are NFL teams scared from the failures of the last great hope Chip Kelly?
