i disagree. don't think there anyway he gets the same amount of tackles, pd's or tfl's in a rotation system. yeah he's sack numbers might not change a lot because the systems all about putting pressure on and going full speed the whole time but his other stats will dip for sure.

Trent Cole will be 29 next season. He has 2 Pro Bowls and 1 2nd team All-Pro in a career which has seen him accumulate 57 sacks.

By comparison Chris Doleman and Kevin Greene finished with over 300 sacks combined in their career. Doleman went to 8 Pro Bowls and is a 4-time All-Pro (2 1st team). Greene is the 3rd leading sacker in NFL history and has 2 1st team All-Pros. Despite this Greene has never got down to the Last 15 in HOF voting where only a maximum of 5 modern era candidates get elected. Doleman has been a finalist just once in 2011 and didn't make the last 10.

Let me give you another fine Eagles DE from the past. Clyde Simmons had 121.5 career sacks and was twice a 1st-team All-Pro. He led the NFL with 19 sacks as a 28-year-old but Simmons hasn't even got a sniff of Canton either and is yet to make the Last 25 semi-finalist list.

I'm sorry but the only HOF Trent has much chance for right now is the 'Cole HOF' with Nat King, Old King, Natalie, Joe, Ashley and Cheryl and even with that he's not a 1st ballot choice.

Bettis has best chance followed by Fanaca.
I think Ward will get in but will have to wait.
Polamalu will get in when the time comes.
Roethlisberger has to win another SB and/ or put up better numbers in yards,td,int.
dont see Harrison getting in.

Jake Long. Even when he's playing hurt, the man is a rock at left tackle.

Lance Briggs deserves a shout. has not got the profile of 'Lach but look at him in 2009 season without 54. 6th straight pro bowl and a bright spot in a dark season on both sides of the ball.

Patrick Willis should walk in. Justin Smith probably should be but won't.

Hoping Kaepernick will be.

Ronde Barber will go in, I think some good numbers this year sealed his passage, did well transitioning from Corner to Safety.
