I have given up on revolution - much to the dismay of my wife who enjoys us watching the same shows - but I could not give this past E3 (E1 & 2 were the double launch episodes) and that was doing her a favour!

Defiance is terrible - there are 2 sci fi geeks here (in my place of employment, apart from myself) who have both said, after very much looking forward to this show, that it was awful and it will be very fortunate to live into a season 2 - I think the term in sports is 'one and done'

AVOID this show live the Norovirus.

Oliver Stone's Untold History of the USA

Showing on Sky Atlantic, the first episode dealing with WWII didn't depart very far from standard history textbook fare despite Stone's intention to highlight parts of history the US curriculum doesn't detail.

Still found it pretty interesting and much better than the recent tripe we produce, such as Victoria Wood on Tea etc.....

I downloaded it and have watched the first two. Although I agree there's many new facts that most GCSE history students already know but he made a point that these things aren't in the standard history textbooks in US schools.

season 8 of dexter will be the last. havent seen 7, but will be buying the whole thing the day it comes out as one.

I think dexter has struggled since Julie Benz left the show. I still like it though.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Dexter ends

I quite like Burn Notice, seems to have gotten better over time

Game of Thrones was epic tonight

It's not American, but did anyone else watch Broadchurch?

Not sure this was quite as good as some said, but it was still a pretty good attempt at a British version of "The Killing": large cast, red herrings, emphasis on the victim's family and the effect on the community etc.

The final episode was the best of the series, imo.
