With so many superstars moving around i could see the Nets being the odd team out and lacking the ability to pull top free agents. There team looks too holey and too unattractive as a franchise compared to the other top teams.
Williams seemed unhappy in Salt Lake City for some reason and Utah understandably wanted to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer. Derrick Favors is a good pickup and will serve the Jazz well. Not sure if Williams is right for the Nets but they did need a star with their impending move to Brooklyn.

The star power in the East has increased greatly but looking at the standings it is a top-loaded conference with a big drop after New York. With the stars going to bigger markets could contraction be possible? Teams like Sacromento and Minnesota would go if that occurs.

Rookie Patrick Patterson looked good during wins at Detroit and Cleveland. In truth though Houston should be beating East featherweights and the next two games against the new-look Nets and bogey team New Orleans will be a much sterner test. With any Rocket being tradeable who will be lining up in Rockets Red on Saturday remains to be seen.

Feel sorry for players like Brandon Jennings, good luck getting voted into the allstar team now. Stacked with good PG's now with the inclusion of DWill.

The Rockets were said to be making a trade and they did. Shane Battier and Ish Smith head to the surprising Grizzlies for Center Hasheem Thabeet and a 1st round pick. Last years Most Improved Player Aaron Brooks goes to the Suns for guard Goran Dragic and a first round pick.

Battier and Brooks were expiring contracts and Brooks' play has not been at the same standard this year. Battier will be missed. Ish Smith has looked okay when he has played. Trades are not yet official but if and when they are confirmed the rebuild starts here.

Memphis get a good player in Battier and a prospect in Smith whilst we have needed a center all year. With Battier gone Chuck Hayes is now the only Rocket with a good defensive game.

They are definitely in rebuild mode now,
Thabeet is at least another two years if ever and Yau ain't coming back,
Like the Wallace move by Portland that should allow Roy's knees the bench minutes needed.

What a stupid move by the celtics.

Chris Bosh 1/18 from the field against the bulls. The worst performance since 1973. The heat only lose by 4 points. All Lebron and wade asbolute no help from the bench.

2 nice results today...

Heat 89 Bulls 93

Celtics 75 Nuggets 89 - Who needs Melo?!

The Knicks do, and hopefully there will be no upsets against the Cavs tonight.

Shame there's not more games on ESPN (plenty of cbb). I might look into the gamepass thingymebob next year.

Green will give them bench scoring and also allows them to go to a similiar line up that they used to when they had Posey - which they did alot in their title season in the playoffs....but if one of the O'neals doesn't get healthy it back fires regardless

Kind of like the deal for Thunder, obviously a sign our young guns progressed faster than the FO expected as it is a minor "win now" trade which gives a needed big body, but ashame to loss Green who was starting to get to normal form after being a bit down sofar this season

EDIT:Todays game shows why Thunder need someone like Perkins..Howard goes for 40/15/6(blocks)
