I know forums, that are still alive, especially since some other forms of communication are more used to insult people (Facebook?), than a forum, which is by itself slower!
On the other hand, it is a trend that it has to be quicker etc. And forums don't always follow that speed.
Signed, a moderator of a forum. (but not this one)

I agree. Which is why the platform it's hosted on is critical.

Forums can survive, I mainly post elsewhere (Football's Future) but that survives because of the sheer size. Every even semi notable free agent signing will get a multiple pages of chat for example. But principally it's a better platform. Because I don't have a clunky interface and repeated signing in nonsense, if there is something I want to chat NFL about, that's where I default go to. It's less hassle

Cheers for the heads up, just creating an account on there.

Football’s Future is highly recommended. A good quality forum which sadly no longer applies with this place.

No probs. I post as BigMountainGoat on there.

I try not to push the forum too much on here as I don't want to antagonise people on here, but it's a decent forum and has enough people to keep it successful. It's a good bunch, some people moan whenever London gets mentioned but by and large everyone plays nicely.

They moved a couple of years ago to a simpler, more stable platform, it helped the forum massively (and shows what could happen if NFLUK did the same thing)

Design/layout for 'older' computers does not help. I struggle to view forum on my small screen.
Also has the desire to fill (waste) time during the off season died?

PS I had to update a club website with a package that automatically switched screen layout for smartphones.

You can but laugh really. Pretty sure the same thing happened last year.

Been on for a few days now and it's night and day compared to here, can't recommend it enough if anyone else is thinking of giving it a look.
