maybe trying to play from may to july/august where you can offer the undrafted guys a new shop window might have worked better but any new league has to know they will lose money for a good few years so need long term backers which maybe isn't an easy sell.reports Tom Dundon will have lost $70m after he rescued the league after week 1 to keep it going for less than 2 more months.
That's just it. The only way a developmental league works is if it's under the umbrella (and financial might) of the NFL. They seemingly aren't interested though.

Actually it looks very much alive. The more reports that are coming out, the more it looks like it's perfectly healthy

From what i've read it's a nothing story, he would like a new deal by April 15th to avoid media speculation hanging over him during the season, he was also quoted as saying that he'd happily play this season without a new contract and sort it at the end of the season but would prefer not to as he would face constant questions from the paps.

I did watch a video from the Herd a month or so back now saying that his wife would prefer to live in New York for her Showbiz career, and he then put 2 & 2 together to make 8 and thinks that Wilson will now go to the Giants.

All signs suggest though that he wants to continue playing in Seattle

2 quotes from that story:

'Wilson signed his current deal July 31, 2015, the day training camp opened'

Then, like Addy said, with regard to playing 2019 without a new contract:

"It’s business and everything else and I know essentially after this season I could potentially be a free agent, that kind of thing. I don’t think that way — I see myself being in Seattle. I love Seattle, special place for me. I also understand it’s a business world and everything else.”

It's a lull in the news cycle basically.

The Bills are signing G Quniton Spain. As Schefter points out, they've added a lot of bodies to that offensive line group this off season.

3 new starters perhaps? Morse (C), Nsekhe (RT), Spain (G)?

Do these moves preclude the Bills from taking OL at #9 in the draft?

I think those three will definitely start. Dawkins will remain at LT (he was probably the only competent line player last year) or switch to LG where he has played very well before.

If the team see Dawkins as a LG then tackle is still very much in play at 9.

If not then the flexibility is now there to stay put, move up or move down.

To be fair to Beane he's done as much as he can to transform the OL before the draft. It was an abomination last season.

I'd thought Dawkins was being billed as a promising LT, but maybe that was a product of the options/performances the Bills had last year.

Like you say, if Dawkins does kick inside, and Morse stays healthy, adding a LT at 9 could transform a weakness into a strength.
