on Bell surely $50m in guaranteed money would sound right even with the Jets now been the only contender according the NFL insiders.
They can say what they want to him, but his agent will point to whoever the highest paid player in the league is.

Yeah, Bell is going to try to top Gurley's guarantees ($45m). I'm guessing all of it will come before his age-30 season.

The Chiefs have signed LB Damien Wilson (Cowboys). The Chiefs like Cowboys LB's, they signed Anthony Hitchens last Free Agency.

The Cards have signed Brett Hundley.

Trying to read too much into it, Hundley is a mobile QB. If you were to draft a mobile QB as your starter, then maybe having a mobile back up would help in terms of the scheme??????

…..or Kingsbury might just like Hundley.

Seen a few reporters, including PFT and Albert Breer on MMQB, suggest that all the teams being floated around on Bell are just smokescreens or kicking tyres and the Jets are currently the only serious contenders. Florio even went as far as to say Bell's agent was inventing interest from Baltimore to try to drive his price up. Breer is saying as things stand Bell is looking at $11-12m per year, though as always the guarantees are what really matter. Bell is stalling for better deals, either from a late entrant or from the Jets. The Jets are growing impatient and apparently have set him a deadline according to one of their beat writers who says they're nervous having been played by Barr this year already, Hightower and Cousins last year. https://twitter.com/Connor_J_Hughes/...00025432915968

How can you give a WR a 5 year, $90m contract extension...……..then a year later trade him?

I mean what changed in your thinking?

Locker room baggage? They got value for him, I'll give them that. Maybe the Giants saw what happened to us and what that did to the trade comp and thought "I bet he'll try the same with us now, let's get rid before he has the chance".

You can expect a new contract for OBJ and better than Brown's in Oakland too.

Steelers make their only FA signing so far, ex-Chiefs CB Steven Nelson, 3 year $25m deal. Guaranteed numbers not known but the Steelers typically only guarantee the first year so you'd think maybe $9m.
