Considering his contract the Ravens have done well to get that. The writing was on the wall that it was Jackson's offence from here on out.

Interesting that the Broncos have moved early for Flacco. Wonder if they'll give him a new contract or try to hold off on that for a season or two.

4th round pick.

So it's more a case of juggling cap space/contracts than anything else.

Maybe they draft a QB too after all, though I still doubt they do it at 10.

it was reported last month that the Ravens would try to give Flacco a say in where they trade him so maybe he fancied the Broncos but also don't see the Ravens been worried about an aging/injury prone QB like Flacco has become.

Elway needs to solve his QB conundrum, but investing that much capital might be going overboard.
Broncos aren't keeping Keenum with his $18m base salary and reports Flacco will re-do his deal as he has no guaranteed money left on his contract so maybe Denver do draft a back-up.

still think there where better QB's in free agency than Flacco but Denver have like the Redskins last year moved early for there guy.

To be fair to Elway with his draft history, the likelihood is that he'd have squandered that 4th rounder anyway, so the cost in reference to him is minimal

the Broncos still have the 4th round pick they got from the Texans for D Thomas so Elway still has picks to waste.

Flacco is 34 so even if he finds some form it still feels like a 2 year gamble on maybe getting back to .500 but then having to still find your long term franchise QB.

as crazy as it sounds think Bortles would have been a better pick up as he has more upside and much younger if Denver are building long term.

he has a $2.5m roster bonus due in early march so it would seem to be better for the Steelers to work out what they are doing way before then.

the US bookies don't seem to have a clear favourite with the Cardinals been the shortest odds at 5-1 then a few teams at 6-1.

I also think the Ravens had better think hard about taking a QB early as well. The Chargers completely did a number on Jackson and if he can't improve his passing the Ravens could be in trouble, unless they go for a veteran backup who would be an improvement on RGIII.

The Ravens will either sink or swim with Jackson for the next couple of seasons at least. Whoever they add will play 2nd fiddle to him, and it's going take some truly awful displays from him to change that.

It'll be interesting to see how many defences can truly shut him down in 2019. I'm guessing his mobility will save him more often than not.

with Flacco and RGIII both gone the Ravens maybe need a decent back-up just to help Jackson, you can maybe bring in a Tyrod Taylor if there isn't much of a market at a decent price.

the Chargers where the 1st team to really take away the run game and make him throw and any team that plays the Ravens next year will see that game film and sell out to stop the run so unless the Ravens coaches work miracles this off-season and improve his accuracy then that game plan will be there week in week out.
