Default Romo contract

I think the Cowboys are mad not inking a contract NOW, NOW, NOW!

Romo has proven his quality. If they leave it 'til the off-season big offers may come from elsewhere.

I am hoping the Bears ownership are emptying their piggy banks as we speak!

You can have Rodgers - I want Romo

Closest person, best fit possible to replace Favre.

If they don't get a deal done they will franchise him, quite possibly an exclusive rights franchise tag (or whatever it is called) where he can't talk to other teams but his wage is even higher than the standard franchise tag.

Im pretty sure they can franchise him anyway, also all players are one hit from a career ending injury, they won't rush anything.

I still think it will get sorted.

On another trench, looking ahead, whilst it will do, IMO, it will be one heck of a kick in the nuts to not sign one (providing its offered) considering Dallas have brought him along to the status he is in now. I dont think many other teams would have kept him around as long as Dallas have.

But he wants to stay, and I'm sure it will all get done eventually.

Thats why he would potentially hold out if they were to franchise him.

Unfortunately Favre will play forever -I think he has a pact with the Devil!

I think Jerry J. has deap pockets for QBs' and my hopeful speculations will come to pass...

Plus the fact any QB playing in Chicago is doomed!

If the 'Boys can show that their MacFadden man-love is genuine, then i can't imagine any QB worth their salt not wanting to play behind the Cowboys O-Line with a premium RB in the backfield to help out matters.
That said, how much cap room have the Cowboys got? Enough to give Romo a bumper deal AND sign a duo of first-rounders?

Note to all other teams needing a QB - HANDS OFF ROMO, he's ours! Jerry will get it done, no worries. He is not going to be mad enough to let Romo go now he's seen him for what is effectively a whole season.

After struggling with Anthony Wright, Quincy Carter, Chad Hutchinson, old' man Vinny, and "Feet of Clay" Drew Bledsoe the Boys have finally hit the jackpot and WON'T let this kid slip away.

As for those two first round picks, who says we will need both and have to worry about signing them. Knowing Jerry, he will probably trade one or both of them away for a bunch of other picks later on.

I am less worried about Romo getting re-signed than I am about us playing Buffalo - now that's saying something! ;D
