Default When is Ted going to invest in our O-Line

Green Bay's O-Line, for a while now, has been average to 'good' at best. Isn't it time we looked to draft Tackles in the first round and get some real talent. Mike McCarthy clearly wants to be a 'run first' team (ignoring the fact that we can't actually run the ball right now). If we had been more focused on delivering better talent in the past we may have been in a better position to have a strong ground game. As it stands we struggle to get anything and Aaron Rodgers has seconds of pocket-time before it closes in on him.

Clifton has not been at his best for a while and Allen Barbre is not the answer, last year he barely made backup guard, and now he's starting RT!!??? .... we've got more problems than this, but considering how important McCarthy regards the running game it's very odd that Thompson doesn't do anything to bring in better talent.

Although the O-Line hasn't delivered yet it's not an awful group of players. I do agree that we havn't actively tried to upgrade the O-Line, the 3-4 taking most of the focus away from that.

part of the problem recently has been Rodgers slow release time.

Found this which shows the problem isn't where Thompson drafts.

___________

I've seen a lot of people making comments on how TT needs to focus on the OL earlier in the draft instead of building a make-shift line full of late round draft picks without really knowing what they are talking about.

So why don't we lay out the facts?

I got this chart off of another forum. It breaks down the draft position and age for each starting OL for every team in the NFL. The averages are then tallied.

Our OL's average draft positon is 84.0. That's 9th best in the NFL.

So blame Campen. Blame MM. But this one (like most) isn't on TT.
